As a result of all this, 1994 saw us paring up with may of our new American friends. Kim Gordon asked us to put out her and Julie Cafritz’ Free Kitten singles compilation, we worked with Mike D of the Beastie Boys and did three Grand Royal releases (Noiseaddict, America’s Most Hardcore and Hurricane), we released the awesome debut Guv’ner album that Thurston put out on his Ecstatic Peace label and did a split Skinned Teen/Raooul album with San Francisco punk label Lookout. The year ended with Jacob’s Mouse releasing two great e.p.s and the final Huggy Bear album and tour.

1995 started with the Free Kitten new album and tour, Guv’ner joined them and released the Baby’s Way Cool single, Hurricane toured with the Beastie Boys and the final Jacob’s Mouse album came out as the band’s twins decided to go to college. The second Cornershop album was made, mixing in more Indian influenced sounds on tracks like the classic Jullandar Shere. The band started playing acoustic shows with sitar, tampora and percussion and transformed into almost a new band. Also released was the debut Comet Gain album that has won fans from all around the world, which was followed by the cracking Baby’s Alright single.
